Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled I&E (Instrumentation & Electrical) Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help uphold safety standards, improve process reliability, and support continuous production improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems.
Duties
• Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment across manufacturing lines.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters.
• Maintain and calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and other automation components to ensure accurate operation.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and control system documentation to diagnose faults effectively.
• Support the integration of new equipment including CNC machines, high voltage systems, and low voltage controls within the manufacturing environment.
• Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting on-site machinery and providing technical support to production teams.
• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance.
Requirements
• Proven experience in industrial electrician work with a strong background in electrical systems, hydraulics, mechanical knowledge, and industrial maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), Calypso software or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of sensors, calibration techniques, vision inspection systems, and high/low voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with schematics reading, AutoCAD drawings, CNC machinery operation, and use of precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic issues efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience working with military-grade equipment or in environments requiring rigorous safety standards is a plus.
• Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and supporting field service activities.
• Relevant certifications in industrial electronics or electrical work are preferred; experience with AutoCAD design or Calypso is advantageous.
