Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Job description: We are seeking a skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment, plant machinery, and automotive systems using schematics, electrical testing tools, and diagnostic software.
  • Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble, repair, or modify machinery parts.
  • Maintain and service equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial or farm machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including soldering connections and replacing wiring harnesses while adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate safety procedures to handle large components or machinery parts safely.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and machinery repair.
  • Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, tire service, welding, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service technology software.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel engine repair, brake repair (including air brakes), shocks & struts replacement, alignment services, HVAC systems, and suspension work.
  • Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
