Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automation systems, with expertise in various technical areas including hydraulics, Modi Con and Scada Pacs systems, and industrial maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes and requires technical knowledge and customer service skills.

Duties

  • Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems.
  • Perform maintenance on hydraulic systems and ensure proper calibration of sensors and precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
  • Conduct field service visits to install, maintain, or repair automated systems at customer locations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system designs using AutoCAD and other design tools.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize CNC machinery for automation tasks as needed.
  • Document all maintenance activities and updates in accordance with company protocols.

Experience
Candidates should have a solid foundation in the following areas:

  • Hydraulics and mechanical knowledge relevant to industrial applications.
  • Experience as an industrial electrician or in electrical maintenance.
  • Familiarity with calibration processes and the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in using Calypso for quality control measurements.
  • Showcase discipline, responsibility and technical training.
  • Knowledge of vision inspection systems to enhance product quality assurance.
